The rhythmic waves of Your night creatures
Soothe the worries of my soul
Gently wrapped in transcendent blankets of peace
I know, I trust

I need nothing more

The swaying symphony of crickets
Lulls me into twilight’s sleep
Keeping me locked into deep presence
I wonder -

Do they mimic Your heart beat?

Sweet hums of reassurance
On how You’ll never change or leave
The unbroken constancy heals my fears
My perfect Father

Oh, my King

In the deep darkness,
You read the prayer of my heart
The only one I have left
You hear it

Before I even start

May I rest in the kindness of your arms
As I forget who I used to be
While falling in love with who You are
And who I am

When I am completely Hidden
Yet somehow Found
Treasured
Illuminated
in You
