A Whisper
A Whisper
Caleb Saenz
If I was born into this death
Tell me I was formed without it
When first I was Your thought
Concept, idea, spark, flash
Tip of a Holy tongue
Day dream of a sleepless God
Before You knit me together
And set me out into the world
I was close to Your heart
Like a whisper — fearful, wonderful
Formed first in the lungs
Floating up through the throat
Made to find a single ear
To be cast upon another’s heart
And demand a response
A ghost haunting ‘til it hears
Begotten to beget
Released to find release
