God is creative. It’s the first revealed aspect of His nature alongside His omnipotence. Genesis 1:1 - “In the beginning, God created...”
He didn’t look up ‘human’ or ‘universe’ in an encyclopedia before He spoke and created the beauties of humanity or the intricacies of the universe. It came from the creative genius of Himself.
As image-bearers and ambassadors of this Creative King of the Cosmos, we’re called to and capable of partnering with the source of true creativity to bring fresh inspiration and revelation to a skewed and shrouded world.
Ekstasis has served as a reminder to create in a way that gleans from and points to the Creator. It’s served as a tool in doing the thing what each human being was made to do - create alongside Our Creator.
