Unblemished
Unblemished
Mary Clement Mannering
The grass a carpet of peaches
Rotted and wasped
We were too late
too late
The last molasses days
Of summer trickling
But just one
Unblemished peach
Halved for my sister
Before she left for good
And took half of me too
