Scilla siberica
Scilla siberica
Connor Brown
I hope one day to wake among
the perfect purple flowers
Slake my morning thirst, dry lips
with sips from their powdered flagons
Oblation, ablution
ablation, absolution—
It’s one of these I know
or all of them at once
once I have taken
Once I am given rinsed
removed forgiven
all I ever want
of all I’ve ever wanted.
