A Ray of Blessing
A Ray of Blessing
Ada Anne Ohnezeit
Thank You for that sunbeam, Lord,
that falls upon the old caned chair,
Illumines every fibered ridge
and warms the blue chintz cushion there.
I treasure every gilded gleam
that through my window sheds a ray,
Those glistening traces, rarely seen
on such a cold November day.
So, thank You for that sunbeam, Lord,
which, like a blessing calms my fears,
And promises more golden hours
in the November of my years.
