Septuagenarian Memoirs No. 9
Septuagenarian Memoirs No. 9
Alan Altany
He hounds me down
in hiding from me
during passionate
bouts of dark doubts
& hearty longings,
a marathon of years
as surreal as the chase
from worlds to worlds;
I hear his breath
in my confused soul
and am totally alone
with Him alone.
He hounds me
through my mind’s
caverns of thoughts
until I am exhausted
in the running,
both sad & elated,
not knowing why
He hides so deeply
in gathering me
& how in any world
we are chasing
each other so
desperately
together.
