Heavy is the poet’s heart
Heavier the word he finds

Heavy is the pastor’s burden
Heavier the word he finds

Heavy are the painter’s eyes
Heavier the word he finds

Heavy are the sinner’s hands
Heavier the word he finds

Will it always be this heavy?
Will it always hurt so much?
Is calling still calling,
Imperceptible to touch?
If I could never lift it
Then how much is enough?

Heavier is the the word I find
