What I Remember From the Day I Almost Died
What I Remember From the Day I Almost Died
Matthew J. Andrews
The way my fingers interlocked with yours / the gravity drawing them together to my neck / the
slow descent of your head down to me / the honeycomb sticky on your lips / the compression,
the suffocation / the nails digging deep into my own skin / the song lowered softly into my ear /
the scent of fruit ripened on your breath / you trapped under my crushing weight / the way your
hands opened like blossoms
