The Moon Colliding
The Moon Colliding
Rachel Steffen
Theology is not a mountain
we climb or a hill we
conquer. Theology is not a rigid
bank shutting in rushing and
willful waters. It is not answers or
definitions. Theology is the
softness of your breath meeting the
wind. It is the poem born of an
unwritten soul. The petals of
spring flowers dancing only
to decompose. The art of a cloud
quenching the thirst of dry
ground. It is the ever changing
tides of an unchanging
ocean. It is a moment, a meeting of
dimensions. Theology is the
moon colliding with the
sea and the waves
washing over your feet in the
sand. Theology is.
