Father, Again
Father, Again
By Riley Bounds
Dreamed we
stamped out fires
in a smoldering
home.
You told me
you were proud
of my tribulation
heart,
just donโt trust
every one thatโs
bled.
Hugged me
as our dead dog
bayed outside,
and then I woke
to the truths
whispering in
my ceiling.
